Ideas that SOAR

Good ideas are plentiful! The hard task is choosing which ideas are good enough to implement and which ideas need to be expounded on or shelved. This procedure is phase two in the two-part creative process, called convergence

According to author Holly Green to make your ideas SOAR all you have to do is follow this simple formula:

S – Sort all ideas into meaningful categories

O – Organize and rank all ideas against pre-established criteria like cost, market, and anticipated return

A – Adapt the ideas, if possible, to create better ideas

R – Refine and critique ideas by identifying weak spots and possible failures

With teamwork, commitment, and hard work your ideas will take flight, along with your career. Click here to read more of the author’s tips on the process of convergence. Read more about divergence (the first phase of the creative process) here
